Risk Management/ SafeSport

The New Mexico Youth Soccer Association fully subscribes to the US Youth Soccer KidSafe initiatives, the USYS Code of Conduct, USSF Recognize to Recover and has established a statewide risk management program. As part of that program, all coaches and program administrators must submit to a sensitive criminal history background check.  For detailed information on the NMYSA Risk Management Program, you can view the NMYSA Risk Management Program in it's entirety.  To complete the electronic background check disclosure, coaches must register with their League/Club.  For Coach registration information, please see below:

  • All NMYSA Coaches must complete the CDC Heads Up Concussion online course every 4 years.  The course is available online by clicking here.  Once complete, please save your completion certificate to upload to your coach record.
  • All NMYSA coaches are required to take the SafeSport online course and the refresher course every year.  Once you complete the SafeSport or refresher training, the Stacked system should automatically upload that to your Stacked profile , if you use the same email to register however, please save your completion certificate to upload to your record in the event that the program fails. To report a concern of suspected Child Abuse or Sexualizes Misconduct please use the following steps:
1. Contact your local club or league
2. Contact the NMYSA State Office by phone at 505-830-2245 or the State Risk Manager, 
Rennae Ross.
3. File a report with SafeSport
