NMYSA usually hosts its Annual General Meeting (AGM) during the second weekend in June. The AGM is open to all NMYSA members. Each League has voting rights proportionate to their total number of registered players. An AGM has traditionally consisted of a Friday evening Executive Committee Meeting, all-day Saturday workshops (also including vendor booths, special guests, awards and recognition, and more), a Sunday state-wide business meeting, and a closing Executive Committee Meeting. Recently it has been condensed into a single day (usually a Saturday) for economy.
The 2017 New Mexico Youth Soccer Association Annual General Meeting will be held Saturday June 3, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque [map] located at 330 Tijeras Ave., NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. This year, we are excited to announce that Skye Eddy Bruce, founder of The Institute for Soccer Parenting, will be our featured speaker for two dynamic sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Skye is a nationally renowned speaker with a focus on “Elevating the Game by Engaging the Parents.” We are thrilled to have Skye and hope that you will enjoy what she has to offer!
Below is the preliminary AGM schedule. If you would like to add a topic to the agenda, please contact the State Office (505-830-2246) and they will do their best to include it. League/Club Presidents and District Commissioners should have their annual reports to the State Office by May 22, 2017, so that they can be included in the program. These reports, typically no more than one page, are a summary of your League/Club activities over the last year (they are also a time to brag about the about the good things happening in your communities).
There are no fees to register for the AGM; however, we ask that you complete the registration form below so that we know how many to expect from your League/Club. NMYSA will pay for one room night for each affiliate member President or designee. Presidents, please let the State Office know if you are able to attend and/or if you are sending a designee and you will be added to the hotel rooming list. Also, the annual NMYSA Member Affiliation forms and fees of $40.00 are due by June 3 (see below).
As in years past, NMYSA is hosting a Referee Assignors clinic at the same location. For more information and to register, please visit the NM Soccer Referee Association website or register directly at EZRegister.
We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to contact the State Office (505-830-2245) if you have any questions. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available!
