PDP Report from Las Cruces

odp-pdp-175px The latest stop for the Player Development Program (PDP) was in Las Cruces on January 25th, where there were over 70 players who participated in the two sessions that day. With warm weather and clear skies, the NMYSA coaching staff, using a variety of games, set out to help improve important soccer skills in these young players. The coaches were very pleased with the enthusiasm and hard work the players showed in both sessions and felt honored to be able to help in their development as soccer players and people. Local coaches also got a chance to observe the sessions and many were excited about the things they saw. They learned that they can help players improve fundamental skills using primarily games. The beauty of this way of teaching is that the players really enjoy the sessions because they are playing games! Next stop for PDP is Santa Fe on February 22.  For more information, including other locations and dates, see the PDP section of the ODP pages.
