New Mexico Youth Soccer Association, along with US Youth Soccer, is excited to announce that the National Youth License will be offered this summer in Albuquerque, NM (July 30 - August 1 and August 7- 8, 2010). Please see the course flyer and FAQs for detailed information.
The National Youth License is designed to provide club directors of coaching, youth coaches and soccer administrators with the knowledge to successfully structure soccer environments for children ages 4-12.
The following will be explored: the role of the coach and the role of the facilitator; the physical, mental and emotional needs and capabilities of players from 4-12; lessons from developmental psychology and the art of teaching. USSF ‘A’ Licensed coaches will receive 8 CEU’s upon successful completion of the course.
The course is now posted on our e-Coaching system. Please feel free to pass this information along to any interested coaches or administrators. We would love to have representation from all of our leagues on this course, convincing board members and league decision makers to educate themselves on what is best for players aged 4-12 will go a long way to helping raise the level of soccer in New Mexico.
