[pre-season note from Michael Needham, Head Coach, New Mexico State University Women’s Soccer]
|Greetings from Las Cruces and the New Mexico State University Women’s Soccer Office!|
It has been a busy four months since my arrival on campus. I have had the opportunity to see many of the young players in our state and look forward to the opportunity of seeing them more to determine who will have the chance to become Aggies. NCAA rules do not allow me to announce the majority of our New Mexico girls, but we are excited about each one of them. They all bring something specific with them that will contribute to the growth of our program.
We conducted three inaugural Spring Break Soccer Academy camps in March and we are really excited about the participation. I have always enjoyed working with young players and it is my goal to consistently help to grow our great sport in New Mexico. In addition to those camps, we will also be doing summer camps in June and July, so keep an eye on our website for updates on that—your kids will enjoy working with our staff.
We, New Mexico State University, have been fortunate to recruit an excellent group of players and staff for our inaugural season. I look forward to every challenge the upcoming months will bring and am dedicated to putting a team on the field that you will be very proud of. We will compete every day, be well organized, and most of all have a lot of fun enjoying the journey that lies ahead of us!
