South Valley Soccer Club hosts Passback Clinic

The South Valley Soccer Club (SVSC), the Native American Soccer Organization (NASO), New Mexico Youth Soccer Association (NMYSA), US Youth Soccer and Albuquerque’s YDI teamed with the US Soccer Foundation to sponsor a Passback clinic and health fair at the Alamosa Community Center on August 28, 2010. The SVSC and NASO supplied coaches to run the clinic which was part of the national Get Up, Get Moving program designed to keep America’s kids active and fit. SVSC provided information on their club, NMYSA and US Youth Soccer. Over 150 children participated in the clinic. The health fair and the clinic were open to the public.

The event was coordinated and run by the US Soccer Foundation. Through the Foundation's Passback Program, new and gently used soccer gear is collected by organizations, teams, clubs and individuals and is redistributed across the globe to help underserved communities play the Beautiful Game. Soccer is a unifying force that brings together people of all ethnicities and has the power to open doors, hearts and minds of those who play. See the Foundation’s Passback page for more information about the program.
